27-07-13 - Louis XIII Celebrates the Birth of a New Uber-Luxury Lifestyle Brand and Destination in Macau
Louis XIII Holdings Ltd. tonight celebrates the birth of its new luxury lifestyle brand and destination, Louis XIII, hosting a spectacular “Royal Banquet”.
Through the support of the Macau government and all its relevant departments, the Louis XIII project broke ground in April, and development works are progressing smoothly on the Cotai Strip in Macau. The property will house a unique collection of rare and exclusive luxury experiences.
This evening’s Royal Banquet will be hosted by Mr. Stephen Hung and Mrs. Deborah Hung. Mr. Hung is the Joint Chairman of Louis XIII Holdings Ltd. Her Royal Highness Princess Tania de Bourbon Parme, the direct descendant of King Louis XIII of France and Special Advisor to Mr. Hung, will be the Guest of Honour. They will be joined by 400 guests including a number of prominent socialites. Those attending will include Ms. Angela Leong, Ms. Angela Ho, Mr. Andrea and Mrs. Maria Buccellati, Mr. Charles Chan, Mr. Natalis Chan, Mr. Michael and Mrs. Janet Wong, Mr. Adrian and Mrs. Bonnie Li, Mr. William Ma, Mr. Allan Zeman, Mr. Kevin and Mrs. Reina Chau, Ms. Fanny Sieh, Mr. Brandon and Jenny Chau, Mr. Charles Yang, Ms. Helen Rong, Ms. Anina Ho, Mr. Alastair Lam, Ms. Charlotte Chen, and Ms. Ingrid Chan.
The Royal Banquet’s theme is French Royal Baroque, as the Louis XIII destination’s design elements will be inspired by this grand and romantic period. At the Royal Banquet this evening, guests will be transported to the Royal Court of King Louis XIII in the 17th century. The ballroom of the Grand Hyatt hotel will be transformed into Chateau de Versailles, with two distinct parts – the beautiful gardens of Versailles and the famous Hall of Mirrors. The event will have a number of surprises for guests. One of the dramatic highlights of the evening is expected to be a spectacular Graff Diamonds Jewellery Show, with over HK$2 billion of diamonds on display.
Mr. Stephen Hung said, “We are delighted to be here today, to celebrate the birth of a new luxury brand, developed here in Macau. We are building a destination that will offer our customers a collection of rare and exclusive luxury experiences. I want to thank HRH Princess Tania de Bourbon Parme for honouring us tonight with her presence and for agreeing to be my Special Advisor on this project. I would also like to thank my friend, Mr. Laurence Graff, for allowing us to showcase some of his fabulous jewels this evening.”
HRH Princess Tania said, “I am thrilled to be here to celebrate the birth of Louis XIII. I want to thank my friend, Mr. Stephen Hung, for placing my family and its heritage at the centre of his vision for this exciting new brand and destination. Despite our different backgrounds, I immediately understood that Stephen shared a fierce commitment with my ancestors – to find the best in luxury. It is Stephen’s uncompromising attitude that has convinced so many of us who are responsible for Europe’s greatest traditions to be part of Louis XIII. I am proud to say that in Macau, in this new City of Lights, there will be a new palace of luxury fit for the Kings of the old City of Light.”
The project will span a total gross area of approximately 945,000 square feet, including around 230 duplex guest suites each with a gross area of approximately 2,000 square feet, 15 Villas each occupying approximately 5,000 square feet and a Royal Villa occupying approximately 20,000 square feet.
The project is anticipated to be completed by early 2016.
