17-10-13 - Louis XIII Holdings Ltd. Builds out its Management Team with New Appointments
Louis XIII Holdings Ltd (the “Company”) today announced the following
seven appointments to further build out its management team.
Rudy Oretti has been appointed Senior Vice President of Resort Operations. He joins the Company from Banyan Tree Macau, the flagship property of Galaxy’s integrated complex in Cotai, where he was an instrumental member of the pre-opening team, successfully launching Macau’s first five-star deluxe all pool suite and villa urban resort, in May 2011.
Prior to Macau, he also performed a similar role at Banyan Tree Bali in Indonesia. Mr. Oretti, who is an MBA graduate from Cardiff University in the UK, comes with over twenty five years of hotel development experience and brings a wealth of expertise and knowledge, having worked for leading luxury hospitality brands such as Ritz-Carlton, Peninsula and One & Only.
Grant Baird, appointed Vice President of Food & Beverage, joins the Company with thirty years of hospitality industry experience, with the last two decades specifically focused on F&B set-up for Restaurants and Hotels in Asia. A chef by training, he was most recently Group F&B Managing Director at Lan Kwai Fong Group in Hong Kong. Mr. Baird has also previously worked as part of the pre-opening management team at Wynn Resort in Macau, and is therefore well versed in the luxury side, of the local F&B market.
Richard Liao joins the Company as Chief Financial Officer with nearly three decades of experience in finance and private equity. He was previously a Managing Partner at Brookfield Asset Management in London, where he oversaw the firm’s real estate investment activities in Europe. Prior to Brookfield, Mr. Liao held roles as Managing Director in the Real Estate Investment Banking Division at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in London and at Citigroup in London and New York. Mr. Liao also co-founded Amida Capital Group Limited with Stephen Hung, Joint Chairman of Louis XIII Holdings, in 1992.
Danny Chan, appointed Vice President of Engineering & Facilities, joins the Company from Keppel Land China, where he was the Director of Commercial Operations. Mr. Chan has over ten years of experience in Hotels, real estate development and facility management in Asia. He has also served as Director of Property Operations for Wynn Macau, where he managed the hotel’s engineering department. He was also previously Chief Engineer for Disneyland Hong Kong and the Peninsula Hong Kong.
Hélène Wong, appointed Vice President of Human Resources & Corporate Social Responsibility, brings with her over two decades of experience in building and managing CSR and HR programs across Greater China and France, with fluency in five languages including Mandarin and French and a deep understanding of Chinese and French culture. Ms. Wong was previously Director of Corporate Social Responsibility and Human Resources with Ignite Media Group as well as Director of Corporate Social Responsibility with Melco-Crown Entertainment Group based in Macau, where she was instrumental in designing and implementing the Company’s Responsible Gaming Program, amongst other key programs.
Jeremy Tang has been appointed Vice President of Retail Operations. He has previously been involved in the branding and sales and marketing for a number of prestigious retail brands, and hospitality companies across Asia Pacific. Previously Mr. Tang worked on the launch of Cipriani and the China Club in Hong Kong and Beijing. He was also the founding CEO of Shanghai Tang, a role he held for six years.
Ashleigh Gilson, appointed Vice President of Information & Technology, is a senior technology professional with twenty five years of experience in gaming and hotels, having previously served as Director of Information Technology at The Venetian Macau for six years, and in various IT roles at Conrad Jupiter’s and Treasury Casinos in Australia.
